Muskoka Living Warranty Policy

This limited warranty is offered by MLI USA, LLC, a California company, and Muskoka Living Interiors, Inc., an Ontario corporation (together, “Muskoka Living” or “the Company”). We stand behind the craftsmanship and quality of our made and sourced goods. The following outlines our warranty policy, conditions, and exclusions.

 


Limited Warranty Overview

Muskoka Living warrants its made-to-order and in-stock furniture products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery, unless otherwise stated.

This limited warranty applies only to products manufactured by Muskoka Living, purchased through an authorized sales channel, and used by the original purchaser in a residential setting. A valid sales receipt or invoice is required to initiate a claim.

 


Limitations on Warranty Coverage

The Muskoka Living warranty does not apply to the following items:

  • Products sold during a sale event, promotion, clearance, sample sale, or warehouse sale

  • Items marked as “As-Is”, “Final Sale”, or “Warranty Void”

  • Showroom models or floor samples

  • Any item discounted more than 40% off its original price

  • Products used in commercial, business, or non-residential settings

  • Alterations, repairs, or reupholstery not performed by Muskoka Living

  • Normal wear and tear, including:

    • Fabric wrinkling or pilling

    • Feather/down/trillium cushion softening

    • Sun fading or discoloration

    • Scratches, chips, or staining from use

    • Natural cracking or movement of wood or stone

These items are considered final sale, sold as-is, and are not eligible for warranty coverage of any kind, including structural integrity, materials, or finishes. Customers are encouraged to inspect such pieces thoroughly prior to purchase.

 


Upholstered Furniture

Coverage: Limited Warranty

  • Frames & Springs: 1 year against structural defects

  • Swivel Mechanisms: 1 year

  • Polyester Soft Fill Cushions: 3 years against loss of resiliency (normal softening excluded)

  • Feather & Down Cushions: 2 years against defects

  • Tight Seat Cushions: 1 year

  • Fabrics (Muskoka Living-sourced): 1 year for seam failure, shrinkage, excessive pilling (unless inherent), nap loss, and slippage

  • Fabrics (COM): Not covered under any circumstances

  • Leathers (Muskoka Living-sourced): 1 year against tearing, splitting, seam failure

  • COL (Customer's Own Leather): Not covered

Care Notes:
Upholstered furniture must be maintained regularly to ensure product integrity.  It is the client’s responsibility to use and care for their upholstered goods in accordance with these guidelines. Failure to do so will void the warranty. Please reference the following care instructions.

 


Case Goods (Wood, Limestone, Plaster, and Other Natural Materials)

Coverage: 1 Year Limited Warranty Against Structural Defects

Wood Disclaimer: Muskoka Living uses a variety of natural and engineered woods (e.g., oak, ash, walnut, maple). These materials are subject to natural movement such as checking, cracking, or slight warping due to environmental conditions (humidity, dryness, temperature shifts). These occurrences are not considered defects and are not covered.

Other Materials: Plaster, limestone, and textured finishes may include inherent variations in tone, texture, and application. These are considered natural characteristics and not flaws.

Care Notes:
Casegoods must be maintained regularly to ensure product integrity.  It is the client’s responsibility to use and care for their casegoods in accordance with these guidelines. Failure to do so will void the warranty. Please reference the following care instructions.

 


Outdoor Furniture

Muskoka Living’s outdoor collection includes aluminum, teak, all-weather wicker, and powder-coated designs, built for performance in exterior settings. Proper care and maintenance are required for longevity and appearance.

Coverage  - 1 Year Limited Warranty

  • Aluminum: Structural failure or paint peeling (not scratches or corrosion)

  • Teak: Structural cracking/splitting (not weathering, movement, or patina)

  • Wicker: Breakage or unraveling (not UV damage or fraying)

  • Cushions & Upholstery: Seam failure or excessive fading (not mildew, staining, or improper storage)

Care: Outdoor furniture is designed for durability, but care practices are critical. It is the client’s responsibility to follow care recommendations to preserve the product and maintain eligibility for warranty coverage. Please reference the following care instructions.
