Fabric + Material Information
Natural Variations
Many of our textiles are woven from natural fibers such as linen and cotton, and may feature slight variations in color, texture, or weave. These characteristics are expected and add to the beauty of the material. Proper care will help maintain appearance—see our Care & Maintenance page.
Dye Lots
Fabric colors can vary slightly between production batches (dye lots). If exact matching is important (for example, when ordering multiple pieces), we recommend placing items under one order.
Fabric Availability
Textile mills update and retire fabrics over time. The fabrics shown represent our current core in-stock selection, but availability may change.
COM (Customer’s Own Material)
We accept COM on all upholstered pieces for clients wishing to supply their own fabric. Additional lead time and material review may apply. Please reach out for requirements and yardage guidance. Standard yardage requirements can be found on each product page.
Performance & Care
Performance fabrics offer enhanced durability but are not completely stain-proof. All textiles—natural or synthetic—benefit from routine care and prompt spot cleaning.
Visit our Care & Maintenance page for cleaning recommendations and fabric care tips.

Wood + Finish Information
Natural Variation
All our wood is carefully selected for grain and character. Variation in tone is expected, particularly in lighter oak finishes, and is part of the unique beauty of each piece. We use semi-transparent, water-based stains to enhance the natural grain. The natural color of the wood will show through, which is much of the beauty of it. Finish samples are provided as a guide and should not be considered an exact confirmation of final color or grain. If you’re ordering multiple pieces and want the finish to be as consistent as possible, we recommend placing them on the same order. Paint finishes generally have less variation than natural wood stains.
Natural Movement
Wood is a living material that expands and contracts with changes in temperature and humidity. Checking (cracking) and/or slight separation at joints may occur over time and especially as the piece acclimatizes. We love using solid wood and if you would like us to prioritize this approach please let us know. Otherwise we prioritize veneer construction when possible to reduce movement while maintaining a consistent appearance. You can read more about this via our wood page.
Durability & Care
Wood will develop a natural patina over time. Use coasters, heat pads, and felt protectors under objects. Wipe spills promptly and avoid harsh chemicals. Full care instructions are available on our Care & Maintenance page.
Custom Finishes
Custom wood finishes are available for most pieces. We require a sample to match as closely as possible (variation expected). Additional lead time and an upcharge would likely. Please contact our team for guidance, requirements, and pricing.
